MoF Comp - Butterfly Collector

For 's design a new mask competition.

Like the majority of people I picked Victorian / Steampunk. I didn't want to pick an era / culture that when the mask was designed meant that he no longer looked scarecrow-related. I thought that the materials and colours that feature in Steampunk (leather, bronze, creams and browns) would lend themselves well to a scarecrow design (especially my fav Year One hehe). I also thought Jonny would probably enjoy wearing goggles and using scary contraptions! I also decided to not include a mouth as a homage to the early Scarecrow designs where he had no features at all yet somehow still seemed really scary!

It's amazing how a mask changes a picture eh?

I like how it is scary yet doesn't contain any gore! It's also really fetishy eh? XD My fetish side always comes out where Jonny is concerned!

So anyway depending on who you are here is the 'Butterfly Collector' or a rubbish Scarecrow redesign lol

wrote this really cool little scene to go with the picture:

She stopped screaming when he brought the needle out, but her hands were still shaking under the restraints. He ran his fingers along the perfect skin, watching her shiver, too frightened to even look away. So much smoothness here, so untarnished. A perfect specimen for his collection.

He almost said, "It'll all be over soon, dear" as he slid the needle in a vein, except that it wouldn't, and he was never really a liar so much as a storyteller.

She finally closed her eyes as he injected her, but she was still twitching.

"Did you know," he crooned behind the mask. "That I once had a patient who made the horrific mistake of sneezing while I was giving him an injection? The needle snapped off in his arm*, and I had to slice the whole thing open to look for it."

The shaking stopped. He finished the injection and smiled, even though she couldn't see it. "Yes, yes. It's much safer if you just hold still."

"What do you want from me?" She murmured, words starting to slur as the drug took hold.

"Nothing," he replied, tossing the empty syringe in a garbage can. "Nothing at all."

"Then why...?"

He stroked her hair - so soft, beautiful hair - and smiled his sweet smile that she would never see. "Because I want something from what you're going to become."
